Brief

The community center acts as and auditorium that looks out into the field (center stage). It positioned in between the grand stand and small park. By using this "in between" space for meeting or social gathering allow the building to be more freely opened and welcoming. Building is mainly constructed from steel and concrete with timber strip flooring. The facade shows the elegant of the material by using mainly glass, steel frame (I beams) and concrete as panel. By lifting the concrete into the air, there is a sense of a grand theater the illuminates onto the field.

Sensing Silence

A Silent Moment of the Individual

The dealer is interested in selling black and white photographs that tells stories of the streets or of individuals. A silent building is required, a place to appreciate art and finding peace from the busy street.

Model - Glass Prison

The glass prison is a space which exists conceptual in the mind. It questions the conscious and the unconscious. The architecture floats in space losing all form of communication and the person themselves seek truth. Wondering alone, the architecture questions the absolute and the uncertainty. The exterior space use for reading separates itself from the library (interior space) and views to infinity. The library is a cage with a central clock. Truth and time can be found here but since it is in space, all is meaningless.

The Bawa House was design as a series of Bungalows. He emphasis the scale of the courtyard through the circulation – movement between courtyard and narrow hallways. Human scale can be seen through the rafters.
